This E-Learning is an adjunct to the CSU-ALS live certification course. It is specifically designed for maintenance of certification as a CSU-ALS Provider. The CSU-ALS course is designed for RNs, RTs, NPs, PAs, and MDs who wish to learn a novel, evidence-based approach to the resuscitation of postoperative heart patients. Using a format similar to Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), this program will include didactic lectures as well as hands-on practice with emergency pacing, internal and external defibrillation, and utilization of state of the art simulation through our Shock Trauma Center Simulation Lab.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
• Identify unique features of the cardiac surgery patient that warrant modifications to standard resuscitation
